Today was just that good. Week has been tough but, the end is close.

Looks like I will be here longer than I would like. Unappreciated and bored to tears, it is a killer combo. Focus on the good stuff though and all will just keep floating on.

Good stuff- I got a good deal done today at work.
Good stuff- Every plant here has flowers and they all smell great
Good stuff- I have two friends over here that mean the world to me
Good stuff- I am getting international experience
Good stuff- This is a unique journey that I will remember forever (this maybe good and bad, haha)

Hope that all is well I will write details soon. It has been a long day. God bless you wonderful readers

  1. Actually you are not unappreciated. You're greatly appreciated by those who have knowledge of your talent, dedication, perseverance, quest for excellence, care for people, understanding of the importance of your work.

While it is true that those who do not understand what you do, are jealous of your skills and knowledge, feel threatened by your intellect, they don't appreciate what you have accomplished there.

I'm in the former group. I appreciate very much the courage it took to undertake the task you have. I'm amazed at how quickly you began to make changes that helped the folks doing the work. I'm honored that we are related.

The latter group? Well, there are groups of people that don't like you simply because of your beliefs and heritage. And there is nothing you can do about it.

So. Here's applause for you Jake. For who you are and what you do. For your goals and visions. For your Faith and dedication.

    Love

  2. Thanks for sharing, Honey. It helps those of us who love you to know what your positives are, that you have something good to focus on at the end of the day...the flowers must be beautiful. :) I continue to be SO thankful that Kahler and Katy are there...your God-given buoy to cling to when the waters get rough. I'm praying for strength and perseverance, grace, peace and joy for you all.

    I love you Sweetheart.

  4. You indeed have a lot of "good stuff" to celebrate, praise and cheer! In a few months, you will stand on US soil and look back to a long year of accomplishments...a long year of "good stuff" to smile about...a long year of learning and teaching...In a few months, you will stand on US soil and look forward to a long life of accomplishments...a long life of "good stuff" to smile about...a long life of learning and teaching...Isn't life so wonderful, that through those difficult times, we can still find the "good stuff". Jake, you are blessed!
